Hi, I’m Maria Rodriguez, proudly known as “The Insurance Chick” — Owner and Principal Advisor at The Forward Insurance Group.
A Northern Virginia native and proud mom of three, I bring both heart and experience to everything I do. I studied Business Administration at George Mason University, where my passion for entrepreneurship and helping others truly began.
With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, my mission is simple: to bring peace of mind to every client I serve by providing tailored coverage that fits their needs and their budget — all while delivering clarity, confidence, and compassion through every step of the process.
I’m not your average insurance agent — I’m The Insurance Chick, your go-to advisor for peace of mind, protection, and progress. My why runs deep. After witnessing families face devastating losses — from the passing of a loved one to tragic workplace accidents — I’ve seen firsthand how the right coverage can change lives. But I’ve also had the privilege of watching my clients’ dreams come true: from humble beginnings to business ownership, purchasing their first home, and starting their family. Being even a small part of those stories fuels my purpose — one rooted in faith, service, and being a helping hand to my neighbor.
As an independent insurance advisor, I work with a wide range of trusted carriers, allowing me to offer the best options without compromising on quality or service. I specialize in smart, customized solutions for commercial auto, contractors, real estate investors, and professionals — protecting what matters most while building long-term relationships based on trust and transparency.
With over a decade of experience in personal lines insurance, this area is truly our bread and butter. There’s not much I haven’t seen — and even less I haven’t found a way to solve. From complex risks to everyday coverage needs, I pride myself on being able to bind solutions that fit real people and real situations.
Through my specialization in transportation insurance, I’ve also had the opportunity to serve incredible clients not only across Virginia, Maryland, and D.C., but also in GA, TN, FL, TX, SC, NC, PA, OH, KY, and NJ — offering seamless protection for those expanding their businesses or managing properties across state lines.
